23rd Annual Concert in West Wickham

The South London Fellowship Band (Musical Director Darrell Scholes) commenced its 23rd annual visit to Emmanuel United Reform Church, West Wickham on 17 March 2017 with My God and King, Paul Sharman’s prelude on the hymn tune “Luckington”, originally composed for the International Staff Band’s 120th anniversary celebration. This was one of several “first performances” for the Fellowship Band that evening.  Read more

The Solent Fellowship Band (Bandmaster Dan Redhead) presented a concert at Opengate Baptist Church, Bognor Regis, on Friday, 5 May 2017. A near-capacity crowd welcomed the band in the modern, spacious church with excellent acoustics.  Read more

Fellowship Bands Join for Charity Concert

On 24 February 2017, the Solent Fellowship Band (Bandmaster Dan Redhead) joined with the Bournemouth Area Fellowship Band (Bandmaster Stan Randell) at Wimborne Methodist Church for a charity concert in aid of Wimborne Salvation Army and Wimborne Bus on the Square.   Read more

Staff Band Weekend in San Juan

NYSB workshop at Guayama Kroc Centter, Puerto Rico

The New York Staff Band (Bandmaster Derek Lance) arrived in Puerto Rico in the early hours of Friday, 17 February 2017, for a weekend of ministry. The weekend included an outdoor concert in Old San Juan shared with the Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands Youth Band, working with young musicians at the Guayama Kroc Center, and Sunday morning worship at San Juan Central Corps.  Read more

Enfield and Abbotts to Record for Clarence Adoo Trust

Supporters of the Clarence Adoo Trust have announced that a new fundraising project will take place in 2017. The renowned Enfield Citadel Band, under the direction of guest conductor John Ward, will record a celebration of the music of Eric Ball. The featured soloist will be Kirsty Abbotts, principal cornet of Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band.  Read more

On Christmas Day, the BBC Radio show Sounds of Brass, hosted by Phillip Hunt, will feature “Music with a Message” from the International Staff Band (Bandmaster Dr. Stephen Cobb). The program will include items from the ISB’s latest Christmas recording, Celebrate the Season! and will also feature a personal message for the listeners from the Staff Bandmaster.  Read more
