Consett Celebrates 125 Years of Banding

In 1906, an official Board of Enquiry certified that the band at Consett had the honor of being the first Salvation Army Corps Band, with its beginning in 1879. Since the 50th in 1929, major anniversaries of the band's founding have been occasions for a visit from the International Staff Band.  Read more

Rotary Festival of Music Features Birmingham Citadel Band

2004 marks the 100th anniversary of Rotary International. In honor the occasion, six Rotary Clubs (Audley, Blackfriars, Etruria, Kidsgrove, Newcastle-under-Lyme, and Wolstanton) organized a Festival of Music. The Festival was held on 10 October 2004 at the Victoria Hall in Stoke-on-Trent.  Read more
