Personnel Moves in Amsterdam and London

The Amsterdam Staff Band (Bandmaster Olaf Ritman) and the International Staff Band (Bandmaster Dr. Stephen Cobb) recently announced personnel changes as they begin their fall seasons.

Following the International Staff Band’s recent trip to Sunderland, David Winch stepped down from the band as principal horn. Winch was a valued member of the horn section for 13 years. Andrew Dickinson has been appointed principal horn, and Philip Fisher (Letchworth) joins the band on solo horn. In addition, Stephen Williams has joined the band on bass trombone, replacing Gordon Camsey, who unselfishly agreed to fill the spot temporarily during last season.

In Amsterdam, bass trombonist Marco Beeldman has been forced to take a temporary leave of absence because of work responsibilities. Edwin Outhuijse will be substituting for him. Also, Hans Koffeman has rejoined the band on horn. Koffeman was a member of the band several years ago, leaving because of personal circumstances that have now changed, allowing him to return.
