Amsterdam Staff Band Personnel Changes Fall 2014

The Amsterdam Staff Band (Bandmaster Olaf Ritman) had several personnel changes as they began their 2014–2015 season, including the arrival of a new Executive Officer, Major Germen Stoffers.

The Staff Band also welcomes back Robert Wolf to the cornet section. Wolf was a member of the band some years ago and has helped the band out in the past few months. The band is delighted that he has accepted the invitation to officially rejoin the band. Wolf is a member of the Rotterdam East Corps, where he plays cornet in the corps band and cornet, flügelhorn and trumpet in the praise band. He will play first cornet in the Staff Band.

Also joining the band this season is Gerard van der Staaij, who replaces Alexander Kruidhof on E♭ bass. He is from the Den Helder Corps and is the elder brother of former Staff Bandsman Rob van det Staaij.

A third new addition is Joël Koerts, who will be the bumper-up to principal euphonium Michel Rosenquist, replacing Simon Smedinga.

Unfortunately, Arend Pietersen, solo cornet, has decided to step down from the Staff Band because of personal circumstances. The Staff Band thanks Pietersen for his valuable contributions and hopes that he will be able to rejoin the band in the future.
