Regent Hall Remembrance Sunday

Every year, on Remembrance Sunday, Regent Hall Corps is privileged to represent the Salvation Army UK Territory at the Cenotaph in Whitehall. Following an impressive march through the streets of London, the corps holds a short service of remembrance for those who gave their lives in the two World Wars and subsequent conflicts. Although this is an annual event, each year has its own emphasis. This year, the nation is commemorating the outbreak of World War I.   Read more

Norwich Citadel Band by the Seaside

To finish their season off before the summer break, the Norwich Citadel Band (Bandmaster Richard Woodrow) likes to make a visit to a local seaside corps to lead worship and give outdoor concerts. This year, they were invited back to Great Yarmouth, the largest seaside resort in Norfolk.  Read more

Consett 135 with Amsterdam Staff Band

On the last weekend of May 2014, the Amsterdam Staff Band (Bandmaster Olaf Ritman) could be found in the United Kingdom! The Staff Band was invited to celebrate the 135th anniversary of the eldest Salvation Army band in the world, the Consett Corps Band. The Staff Band brought with them Ben van Dijk, bass trombonist of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, as guest soloist, in conjunction with the release of his new solo recording, World Concerto, which includes the Staff Band as the accompanying group.  Read more

Bermuda Band Featured at Fort Frances Centennial

The West End Corps (West End Community Church) Band (Bandmaster Jerome Astwood) made the long journey from Bermuda to northwestern Ontario to perform at the 100th anniversary celebrations at Fort Frances Corps 3 – 8 April 2014. During the visit, the band played several engagements, including a march through town and multiple concerts, and supported Sunday worship.  Read more

Easter in Western Australia

On Easter weekend of 2014, the Melbourne Staff Band (Bandmaster Ken Waterworth) traveled to Western Australia, where the band participated in Good Friday services in Perth and Easter observances in Albany.  Read more

Parade and Concert in Richmond

The National Capital Band (Bandmaster Dr. Steve Kellner) traveled to Richmond, Virginia on 7 December 2013, participating in the Richmond Christmas Parade and playing a carol concert at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in the afternoon.   Read more
