ASB Weekend in Winschoten

The weekend of 27 – 28 October 2018 saw the Amsterdam Staff Band (Bandmaster Olaf Ritman) travel almost as if they were on tour. The band went to Winschoten, Oude Pekela, and Veendam, in the far northeast of the country, almost in Germany. The Winschoten Corps was celebrating its 130th anniversary and had invited the Staff Band to participate in the festivities.  Read more

Recorded Piano Tracks for Salvation Army Tune Book

The UK Territory Music and Creative Arts Department and World of Sound have been working hard over the last couple of years to provide recorded piano accompaniments for all of the tunes in the Salvation Army Tune Book. These recordings were released at the recent UK Territorial Congress and are now available for purchase.  Read more

SA Band World Magazine Relaunched, Blyth Named Editor

The monthly magazine for Salvation Army brass musicians and bands, SA Bandsman, has been relaunched under the new title SA Band World, and will be published by the publisher of Brass Band World, Kapitol Media Ltd., for its owner, Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd. (SATCoL). Andrew Blyth has been named Editor of the renamed publication.  Read more
