The Anglia Divisional Golden Oldies Band (Bandmaster Bram Scott) joined with vocal soloist Juliet Parker on 25 October 2003 for a concert in memory of former bandsman Jim Harris, who passed away one year ago.
The New York Staff Band (Bandmaster Ronald Waiksnoris) traveled to the eastern Long Island community of Riverhead on 18 October 2003 for its first concert of the season.
In mid-October, the Hannaford Street Silver Band celebrated its twentieth anniversary. A weekend Festival of Brass was started with a concert featuring the Canadian Staff Band of the Salvation Army, under the direction of Bandmaster Kevin Hayward.

Euphonium soloist Derick Kane and vocalist Captain Carol Evans joined with the Hadleigh Temple Band and Timbrels for a concert on 24 October 2003. Following the concert, presented at Hadleigh Temple, a cheque for £900 was handed over for the work of Little Havens Children’s Hospice.
On the evening of 25 October 2003, nearly £1200 was raised towards research into Cystic Fibrosis following a concert given by The Salvation Army Symphonic Wind Ensemble at Boscombe.
