The Canadian Staff Band (Bandmaster Kevin Hayward) travelled to the Lake Simcoe region of Ontario to participate in weekend events celebrating the 120th anniversary of the Orillia Corps.
2004 marks the 100th anniversary of Rotary International. In honor the occasion, six Rotary Clubs (Audley, Blackfriars, Etruria, Kidsgrove, Newcastle-under-Lyme, and Wolstanton) organized a Festival of Music. The Festival was held on 10 October 2004 at the Victoria Hall in Stoke-on-Trent.
The Montclair Citadel Corps, Montclair, New Jersey, was the venue for a Band Councils held on 9 October 2004. The councils were the centerpiece of a weekend featuring the Norridge Citadel Band, under the direction of Bandmaster Peggy Thomas.
The National Capital Band began its 2004 – 2005 season in traditional fashion with a retreat held at Camp Happyland.
The South London Fellowship Band, (Bandmaster Major George Whittingham), celebrated its tenth anniversary on September 11, 2004. The occasion was marked by a Festival of Thanksgiving, held at St. George’s Church in Beckenham.
