The Salvation Army is making final preparations to welcome the esteemed New York Staff Band for a week long visit to Ireland at the end of May.
For the fifteenth successive year, the Gloucester Salvation Army Band (Bandmaster Clifford Matthews) played a leading role in the Meningitis Trust’s annual Christmas Concert at Gloucester Cathedral.
The 2010 Rotary Carol Concert in Boscombe, in aid of the Youth Cancer Trust, was held on 9 December and featured the Boscombe Band of the Salvation Army (Bandmaster Dr. Howard J. Evans), the choir of the Epiphany Church of England Primary School and guest vocal soloist Hilary Bromage.
The Band and Songsters from the Gloucester Corps (Bandmaster Clifford Matthews and Songster Leader Phil Webb) were once again pleased to be able to share the message of Christmas during their annual Carol Concert at Christchurch, Abbeydale, on 14 December 2010.
The Birmingham Citadel Band (Bandmaster Graham Lamplough) had the privilege of playing once again at Birmingham’s magnificent Symphony Hall as part of the annual Christmas concert known as “Rejoice”.
This year’s Carol Service at Regent Hall featured traditional and modern music and readings, sometimes juxtaposed in a single item. All of the Corps senior and junior music sections participated.
December 2010 was again a busy month for the Canadian Staff Band (Bandmaster John Lam), with two annual Christmas events on back-to-back Saturdays.
