Birmingham Citadel Proms Night
On Saturday, 28 January 2012, Birmingham Citadel was “packed to the rafters” once more for the annual Proms Night by the Birmingham Citadel Band (Bandmaster Gavin Lamplough).
Amsterdam Study Weekend
It has become a tradition for the Amsterdam Staff Band (Bandmaster Olaf Ritman) to plan a study weekend in January.
Gravesend Visit by South London Fellowship Band
A long-awaited visit by the South London Fellowship Band to Gravesend, their fifth visit to that location, met the very high standards expected of this band. The event took place on Saturday, 10 December 2011 in the Parish Church, St. George’s.
Fellowship Band at Hayling Island
On Saturday, 10 December 2011, the Solent Fellowship Band (Bandmaster John Bird) returned to the Hayling Island Community Centre to share an annual concert of Christmas music with the Hayling Island Choir (Musical Director David Cain). This year, the concert also featured special guests, the Mill Rythe Junior School Choir (Director Bernie Marshall).
Rejoice 2011
The Birmingham Citadel Band (Bandmaster Gavin Lamplough) had the privilege of playing, once again, at Birmingham’s magnificent Symphony Hall on 9 December 2011 as a part of the annual “Rejoice” Christmas concert.
National Capital Band Christmas Concerts 2011
The National Capital Band (Bandmaster Dr. Steve Kellner) performed at two annual events during the Christmas season of 2011, including a concert in Richmond, Virginia and a performance at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington, DC.
World in Union Concert
The London Central Fellowship Band (Bandmaster David Daws) brought its 2011 season to a close with a successful visit to Symphony Hall, Birmingham, playing for an audience of 1,500 gathered for the Extra Care Charitable Trust 2011 World in Union Concert. The event also included other special guests including Tom O’Connor, Rustie Lee, Gary Lovini and Kirsty Michele Anderson among other well-known artists.
Pre-Christmas Concert at Lovat Fields
The London Central Fellowship Band (Bandmaster David Daws) returned to Lovat Fields Village, Milton Keynes, on 26 November 2011 to start the Christmas season, playing to an audience of over 200 people.
29th Parliamentary Carol Service
Around 400 parliamentarians, staff and visitors gathered in Westminster Hall for the 29th annual Parliamentary Carol Service, hosted by John Bercow, the Speaker, with music provided by musicians from the International Staff Band (Bandmaster Stephen Cobb).
