Stavanger Band to Tour in Upper Midwest USA
The Stavanger Band (Bandmaster Per-Erik Petersen) from Norway will be in the United States 6 – 13 October 2017, performing in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. The main event of the trip is the Scandinavian Jubilee at Rockford Temple, Illinois.
Reading Central Band at St. Giles Fair
On Sunday, 3 September 2017, the Reading Central Band (Bandmaster Ian Clack) joined with the Oxford Salvation Army Band to participate in the blessing of the annual St. Giles Fair in Oxford.

Belfast Temple Sunday Afternoon Program
On Sunday afternoon, 3 September 2017, the Belfast Temple Corps commenced a Sunday afternoon program supported by the Belfast Temple Band (Bandmaster Jack Burch). The guest soloist for the afternoon was Belfast Sydenham Bandmaster David Corry (cornet), a former member of Belfast Temple Band.
Star Lake Musicamp 2017
Star Lake Musicamp 2017, with special guests Majors Martin and Leanne Cordner and Songster Leader Marjory Watson, was held 12 – 20 August 2017. A record enrollment of 200 students, supported by 65 staff, participated in three majors, with five bands, five choruses, and no less than 17 electives, with the theme Wake up the Saint.
El Olam – Euphonium Solo
Written by Roger Trigg for euphonium soloist Micah Parsons in 2015, this solo is built around the melody “Yesterday, Today, Forever” by Ivor Bosanko.
Whittingham Birthday Concert
Many well-known faces from the Salvation Army brass band world, plus some others, gathered at Bromley Corps on 29 August 2017, forming a band to celebrate the 91st birthday of Major George Whittingham.
