Two-Part Hymn Series: Ten More
The next set of ten tunes in our Two-Part Hymn Series has been released. As always, these simple arrangements are free to download and use. There are now 190 tunes available, 120 in Part 1 and 70 in Part 2, with 50 more being arranged for Part 2.

NYSB Launches New Signature and Heritage Series
The New York Staff Band and the USA Eastern Territory Music Department have launched two new music series, the Signature Series and the Heritage Series. The Signature Series replaces the Music Department’s current Triumphonic Collection. It will feature three new pieces each year. The Heritage Series will consist of reprints of popular pieces from the American Band Journal that are out of print. It will feature one piece per year.
German Staff Band in Berlin
The German Staff Band (Bandmaster Heinrich Schmidt) was in Berlin on the weekend of 13 – 14 October 2018. The weekend featured a march and open air, a concert with Chor Zeitzünder, and Sunday morning worship at Berlin Sudwest Corps.
Thunder Bay Weekend for Canadian Staff Band
The 50th Anniversary Season of the Canadian Staff Band (Bandmaster John Lam) is well underway. The first stop on the Staff Band’s Canada-wide “tour” was in Thunder Bay, Ontario, on the weekend of 13 – 14 October 2018. he event commemorated 125 years of Salvation Army service in Thunder Bay.

SLFB Long Weekend in Blackpool and Carlisle
On the long weekend of 28 – 30 September 2018, the South London Fellowship Band (Conductor Darrell Scholes) visited the northwest of England, with events in Blackpool and Carlisle. Despite challenges with travel and accommodations, the trip was ultimately successful and satisfying, with two concerts and Sunday morning worship during the trip.
Enfield Pre-Contest Festival Features Fountain and Cordner
Enfield Citadel Band (Bandmaster Don Jenkins) returned to St. John’s, Smith Square, for this year’s Pre-Contest Festival. The concert featured James Fountain (cornet/trumpet) as guest soloist and Major Martin Cordner as compère, guest conductor, and featured composer.
