North York Temple Band, Classical Brass, October 2018

The North York Temple Band (Bandmaster Glenn Barlow) entered somewhat uncharted territory in October, hosting Classical Brass, an evening of all classically-inspired music. The inclusion of three guest soloists, violinist Alessia Disimino, clarinetist Yasmeen Alli, and vocalist Katelyn Byrd, made this night even more out of the ordinary for the band.  Read more

ASB Weekend in Winschoten

The weekend of 27 – 28 October 2018 saw the Amsterdam Staff Band (Bandmaster Olaf Ritman) travel almost as if they were on tour. The band went to Winschoten, Oude Pekela, and Veendam, in the far northeast of the country, almost in Germany. The Winschoten Corps was celebrating its 130th anniversary and had invited the Staff Band to participate in the festivities.  Read more
