The Anglia Fellowship Band (Bandmaster Ray Todd) was featured in the Senior Celebration Rally at Felixstowe Spa Pavilion on 13 May 2008. The rally, entitled “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, was led by Majors Peter and Valerie Mylechreest, previous commanding officers of the Felixstowe Corps.
Prior to the first part of the proceedings the Fellowship Band featured the march Mighty to Save, followed by Piano Trio, Bright and Beautiful and the ever-popular Carnival Parade, written by Kenneth Ketteringham for the Fellowship Band and referencing the tune “I Do Like to Be Beside the Seaside”.
During the body of the meeting the band played Jesus Folk and accompanied the congregational songs.
Before the second half of the program, the Fellowship Band played to “warm up” the crowd. Items included New England, Tomado de la Mano and Flag of Freedom. During the second half, the Fellowship Band contributed several items, including a march, Spirit of Anglia, specially written for the Fellowship Band by Kenneth Ketteringham. Other items included the trombone solo Take Up Thy Cross, played by Brian Midgley, and finally Hine e Hine.
