The band, wearing their new red festival shirts (purchased in preparation for a short tour of Finland scheduled for the end of May) for the first time, opened with In Christ Alone, with the choir and congregation standing and joining in at the end, using this item as a congregational song.
Along with contemporary items such as Blessing and Honour, the band played Shalom and Amazing Race. The choir, backed by their resident orchestra, presented several numbers of their own and joined with the band for I’m Amazed.
The band featured vocal soloist Adam Hall, who flew in from Germany especially for the concert. Adam sang four items, Caro Mio Ben and Yarmouth Fair in the first half and Still As the Night and Amazing Grace in the second half.
The band received three standing ovations during the course of the evening and presented two encores, On the King’s Highway and Dance Before the Lord.
