Circuit 16 Youth Choir (Musical Director Cara Clark) were the special guests of Bristol Easton Band (Bandmaster Nathan Cole) for a joint program held in the Bristol Easton Salvation Army Hall on the evening of 19 March 2011.
The hall was packed for the occasion and many in the audience were attending a Salvation Army event for the first time. The event was part of the Bristol Easton Band‘s outreach program, which is designed to bring people who would not ordinarily come into the building to discover what is offered.
Founded in 1996, Circuit 16 is a choir with members mainly from areas around East Bristol. They sing both secular and Christian music delivered with enthusiasm and musical excellence. On this occasion, they featured popular songs such as Fields of Gold and Homeward Bound, but also provided a rich sprinkling of Gospel songs, including The Infant King and The Lamb.
Items presented by Bristol Easton Band included the euphonium solo Brilliante (soloist Anthony R. Smith), Glorifico Aeturnum (Dean Jones) and A Psalm of Thanks (Paul Sharman).
