The [bclink id=”953″ target=”_blank”] (Bandmaster Gavin Lamplough) did its latest recording in the familiar surroundings of St. Luke’s Church in Birmingham, 13 – 15 September 2012. The contemporary church buildings have been the venue for the band’s last three recordings and, once again, the warm acoustics of the hall did not disappoint.
The new recording, entitled Victory for Me!, is due for release before Christmas 2012 and will contain some exciting items. Classic Salvation Army repertoire such as The Kingdom Triumphant (Eric Ball) and For Our Transgressions (Morley Calvert) is alongside new music from Paul Sharman (Amazed!) and Stephen Bulla (Lift Up Your Voice).
The recording will also feature three of the band’s soloists: Neil Blessett (tenor horn), Mark Sharman (trombone) and David Taylor (euphonium).
