The funds raised, about £2000, will assist Captains Tim and Samantha Johnson, who are currently serving as commanding officers of the Harare City Corps. Tim Johnson is a former member of the Reading Central Band.
The Central London Fellowship Band contributions included Strike Up the Band, The Shepherds Song, and On the King’s Highway. Flügelhorn soloist Jim Rogers played Londonderry Air. Items from the Reading Central Band were taken from their recent recording, including Godspell and The Challenge (Mark Dallas, cornet). The band items were enhanced by classical selections by Schubert and Liszt, played by guest piano soloist Janelle Ivors.
