The National Capital Band, conducted by Bandmaster Lars-Otto Ljungholm, has released its latest recording, Turning Point. The disc includes twelve tracks, ranging from the classic variations Sound Out the Proclamation (Eric Ball) to the big-band jazz sounds of Deep River (William Broughton). Four soloists are featured: Tom Bratten (tuba), Major Tony Barrington (euphonium), Dorothy Gates (trombone) and Ian Anderson (cornet).
