SLFB Benefit for Bexleyheath Building Fund

The last day of February 2015 was damp and grey around Bexleyheath, but there was warmth, light and a great welcome for the South London Fellowship Band (Bandmaster Darrell Scholes) as they presented a program in Bexleyheath Corps’ temporary quarters, Bexleyheath Methodist Church. In aid of the BexleyHeath Corps Building Fund, the concert was shared with Bexleyheath Singing Company (Leader Rachel Gash).

Help for Heroes in Norwich

Norwich Citadel Band (Bandmaster Richard Woodrow) commenced its new season with a Gala Charity Concert on 4 October 2014 at the Citadel. The concert was in aid of Help for Heroes, a popular military-based charity. Special guests for the evening were the Marham Bluebirds Military Wives Choir (Musical Director Rachel Meerwald).

Fellowship Band Benefit Concert at Chandler’s Ford

On Friday, 26 September 2014, the Solent Fellowship Band (Bandmaster John Bird) and the One Achord Choir (Director Chris Warren) presented a charity concert at Chandler’s Ford Methodist Church. The concert raised nearly £600 toward the Community Outreach program of the church.

“Into Africa” Raises Thousands for Kenya Trust

The annual “Into Africa” concert, benefiting the Kenya Trust, was held at Staines on 14 June 2014. This year’s concert featured 14-year-old Isobel Daws (trombone) as guest soloist, with the Enfield Citadel Band (Bandmaster Jonathan Corry) and Staines Songsters (Leader Samantha Turner).

The church of St Edmund in Acle, Norfolk, England

Norwich Citadel Band at St. Edmunds

On 6 June 2014, the Norwich Citadel Band (Bandmaster Richard Woodrow) visited St. Edmunds Church in Acle, Norfolk. This is believed to be the first such occasion for the band, which was delighted to find a full church with an enthusiastic congregation warming to the sound of a brass band playing in the medieval building with its thatched roof.

Enfield and Divas Join for Rollason Benefit

On the weekend of 16 – 18 November 2018, the New York Staff Band (Bandmaster Derek Lance) traveled to the Massachusetts Division for a ministry weekend that included stops in Worcester, Canton, Boston, and Brockton. Brass for GOSH Launched

The London Central Fellowship Band (Bandmaster David Rudd) launched their latest recording with a concert at Regent Hall on 17 November 2018. Just under 300 people were in attendance for a fantastic night of music-making, raising funds for the Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) Charity. All of the profits realized by Citadel Promotions, the producers, will benefit the hospital charity, leading to the title of the recording, Brass for GOSH. Read more
