The weekend of 4 – 5 September 2010 was a busy and important time for the Birmingham Citadel Band (Bandmaster Graham Lamplough). The weekend included special services for Band Sunday and a pre-contest performance at Symphony Hall on Saturday morning.

Easter Monday at William Booth Memorial Halls
The Birmingham Citadel Band and Songsters joined with the William Booth Memorial Halls Band and Songsters on Easter Monday (17 April 2006) for a concert at the William Booth Memorial Halls in Nottingham. The concert also featured vocal soloist Richard McIntosh, a member of the International Staff Songsters.
Visit to Coleford Baptist for Birmingham Citadel
A friendship begun in a military hospital on Cyprus in 1959 led to a visit to Coleford Baptist Church by the Birmingham Citadel Band in March 2006.

The Salvation Army corps in the Staffordshire town of Leek recently celebrated its anniversary weekend, beginning on Saturday, 14 October 2005, with a special concert from the Birmingham Citadel Band (Bandmaster David Nicholson).
Choir and Band Combine for Cancer Relief
On 24 September 2005, the Canoldir Male Choir and the Birmingham Citadel Band joined for a concert in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. The concert was held at Birmingham Cathedral.
Birmingham Citadel Band Supports Magistrates’ Service
On the afternoon of 21 November 2004, a Service of Choral Evensong was held at the Lichfield Cathedral in prayer and thanksgiving for the work of the judiciary and magistrancy in Staffordshire. Music before and after the service was provided by the Birmingham Citadel Band.

Rotary Festival of Music Features Birmingham Citadel Band
2004 marks the 100th anniversary of Rotary International. In honor the occasion, six Rotary Clubs (Audley, Blackfriars, Etruria, Kidsgrove, Newcastle-under-Lyme, and Wolstanton) organized a Festival of Music. The Festival was held on 10 October 2004 at the Victoria Hall in Stoke-on-Trent.
Band and Choir Join for Benefit in Milton Keynes
The Birmingham Citadel Band (Bandmaster David Nicholson) joined with the Chelmsford Citadel Songsters (Songster Leader Joanne Schultz) on 20 March 2004 for a benefit event sponsored by the Rotary Club of Milton Keynes.
