20 Years for South London Fellowship Band
On the weekend of 27 – 28 September 2014, the South London Fellowship Band (Bandmaster Darrell Scholes) celebrated its 20th anniversary. The weekend festivities were held at Bromley Temple Corps in front of an audience made up of former members and friends made over the last twenty years.
Benefit Concert in Gravesend Aids RNIB
The South London Fellowship Band (Bandmaster Darrell Scholes) presented a fine concert, 14 February 2014, on its latest of regular visits to Gravesend, this time in aid of the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).
Gadsden Band Centenary with South London Fellowship Band
Two brothers once again shared a stage as they both celebrate the centenary of their family band. This unique opportunity was made possible by the South London Fellowship Band (Bandmaster Major George Whittingham) agreeing to share the platform with members of the Gadsden Band during their most recent concert at the Addison Centre in Kempston Bedford on 16 October 2010.
Gravesend Hall Reopens with Fellowship Band Festival
The Salvation Army hall in Gravesend was reopened on Friday, 4 November 2005, following a renovation. The occasion was marked with a musical festival by the South London Fellowship Band (conducted by Major George Whittingham)
SLFB Helps Emmanuel Celebrate 75 Years
Over the past ten years, the South London Fellowship Band has developed a special bond with the Emmanuel United Reformed Church in West Wickham. The church is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year and the band was invited to participate in the first of a series of events in celebration of the anniversary.
