Highest Praise – National Capital and Virginia Music Councils (Part 1)
The Southern Territorial Band (Bandmaster Nick Simmons-Smith) (STB) and Territorial Creative Arts Ensemble (Director Bethany Farrell) (TCAE) toured the National Capital and Virginia (NCV) Division, Wednesday 12 – Saturday 16 October 2016, with the featured event the Music Councils, entitled “Highest Praise”, held at Camp Happyland. Annual Retreat 2011
The National Capital Band of the Salvation Army, based in Washington, DC, began its 2011 – 2012 season with the Annual Band Retreat held at Camp Happyland in central Virginia.
New Beginnings for the National Capital Band
“New Beginnings” was the theme for the annual Family Camp for the National Capital & Virginia Division this year, and the same spirit carried through the following weekend (10 – 11 September 2010), when the National Capital Band gathered at Camp Happyland for their annual Band Retreat.
Easter in the Deep South for NCV Youth Sections
Fifty members and chaperones of the National Capital & Virginia Division’s Youth Band and Timbrels (DYB) gathered at Camp Happyland, near Culpeper, Virginia, on the evening of Wednesday, 23 March 2005 to begin a five-day journey through the Deep South.
