On 1 December 2018, the National Capital Band (Bandmaster Dr. Steve Kellner) was at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Richmond, Virginia, for Joyful & Triumphant, a Christmas concert and carol sing-a-long.
The National Capital Band (Bandmaster Dr. Steve Kellner) began its 2018–2019 season in traditional fashion with a retreat held at Camp Happyland in central Virginia. As usual, the retreat served as both a musical and spiritual foundation for the season.
The National Capital Band (Bandmaster Dr. Steve Kellner) has a long-standing relationship with the Northern Virginia Adult Rehabilitation Center (NOVARC), beginning with the dedication of the facility over twenty years ago. In lieu of their regular rehearsal on Monday, 7 November 2016, the band gave a concert at the center.
