A capacity crowd gathered in the hall at Alexandria Citadel on the afternoon of Sunday, 18 July 2010 to salute Bandmaster James B. Anderson and Christina Anderson.
The 17th annual Great American Brass Band Festival was held in Danville, Kentucky 10 – 12 June 2005. The festival, held primarily on the campus of Centre College, is hosted by the Advocate Brass Band, based in Danville.

The National Capital and Virginia Division has announced that Bandmaster James B. Anderson has been appointed Divisional Music Director, effective 17 May 2004.
