Corry to Chicago
The Enfield Citadel Band announced on 6 September 2016 that its Bandmaster, Dr. Jonathan Corry, has relinquished his leadership of the band and will be taking up an appointment as Director of Music and Gospel Arts for the Chicago Metropolitan Division in the USA Central Territory. No successor was immediately named for the conductor’s post at Enfield.
Band Reunion at Belfast Temple
On 4 June 2016, the Belfast Temple Band (Bandmaster Jack Burch) held a reunion dinner, with just under 80 former and current members and spouses. In addition to the dinner, current and former players joined in a massed band to play several items.
