The Ruddick Arts Centre, Edgbaston was the venue for the commencement of Birmingham Citadel Band’s 125th Anniversary celebrations on Saturday, 22 September 2018. A weekend which, as it progressed, conjured up many happy memories of the band’s consistent ministry in Birmingham and further afield over the years.

Birmingham Citadel Band Supports Magistrates’ Service
On the afternoon of 21 November 2004, a Service of Choral Evensong was held at the Lichfield Cathedral in prayer and thanksgiving for the work of the judiciary and magistrancy in Staffordshire. Music before and after the service was provided by the Birmingham Citadel Band.

Rotary Festival of Music Features Birmingham Citadel Band
2004 marks the 100th anniversary of Rotary International. In honor the occasion, six Rotary Clubs (Audley, Blackfriars, Etruria, Kidsgrove, Newcastle-under-Lyme, and Wolstanton) organized a Festival of Music. The Festival was held on 10 October 2004 at the Victoria Hall in Stoke-on-Trent.
Band and Choir Join for Benefit in Milton Keynes
The Birmingham Citadel Band (Bandmaster David Nicholson) joined with the Chelmsford Citadel Songsters (Songster Leader Joanne Schultz) on 20 March 2004 for a benefit event sponsored by the Rotary Club of Milton Keynes.
