Star Lake Musicamp 2017, with special guests Majors Martin and Leanne Cordner and Songster Leader Marjory Watson, was held 12 – 20 August 2017. A record enrollment of 200 students, supported by 65 staff, participated in three majors, with five bands, five choruses, and no less than 17 electives, with the theme Wake up the Saint.
Friday, 17 March 2017, brought together 66 enthusiastic brass and percussion players, 30 members of the New York Staff Band (Bandmaster Derek Lance), two incredible guests, two support staff, and three pastoral officers gathered at Star Lake Lodge in Bloomingale, New Jersey, for the 2017 Future All-Stars weekend. This year’s special guests were James and Thomas Fountain, two young cornet/trumpet soloists with British brass band and Salvation Army background.
On Friday 31st October 2014, the Solent Fellowship Band (Bandmaster John Bird) and Bell Canto Hayling Island U3A handbell team (Conductor Derek Dunn) presented the third in a series of Bells and Brass concerts, held bi-annually in St. Mary’s Church, Hayling Island.

On Friday, 15 March 2013, the Solent Fellowship Band (Bandmaster John Bird) presented a concert at Chandler’s Ford Methodist Church. The event raised nearly £900 toward youth and children’s work at the church.
Built a year before Queen Victoria became the monarch, the All Saints Church in Botley was the venue for the Solent Fellowship Band (Bandmaster John Bird) in their first outing of 2013.
The Solent Fellowship Band (Bandmaster John Bird) played the last of a trilogy of late autumn programs at Gosport on 10 Nov 2012. Once again, the band demonstrated a flexible approach to differing acoustics, having in recent weeks played in a 12th-century church, a large hall at a major corps and a more compact accommodation at a smaller corps.
Each autumn, the Solent Fellowship Band (Bandmaster John Bird) gives a Sunday evening concert at Portsmouth Citadel in appreciation of the corps allowing the use of the main hall and other facilities for rehearsals and the occasional social event.
