A capacity crowd filled Sheffield Citadel on 10 September 2011 as the Sheffield Citadel Band (Bandmaster Keith Wileman), with guest soloist and conductor Derick Kane, celebrated Alf Wileman's 66 years of banding service.  Read more

Sounds of the Season in Chicago

The Chicago Staff Band (Bandmaster William Himes) presented “Sounds of the Season”, its annual Thanksgiving concert, on 27 November 2010. Special guests for the evening included euphonium soloist Derick Kane and the Salvation Story Steel Orchestra.  Read more

Cancer Research Benefit Features Kane

On Friday, 18 November 2005, the South London Fellowship Band, under the direction of Major George Whittingham, held a concert in the Upper Norwood corps hall, for the benefit of Cancer Research UK. The concert also featured the Bromley Temple Songsters with soloist Mark Norwood, and euphonium virtuoso Derick Kane who was joined by his son, Stephen Kane for some duet items.  Read more

ISB Helps Black Dyke Celebrate 150 Years

This year, Black Dyke celebrates its 150th anniversary, and the ISB was invited to participate in the celebrations with a joint concert in York Minster, held on Saturday, 1 October 2005. Taking advantage of the paid travel, the ISB completed the weekend by participating in Sunday worship at Clowne.  Read more
