This recording features the five test pieces used for the British Regionals contests in 2019. Each is recorded by one of the premier brass bands, including Desford, Cory, Virtuosi GUS, Black Dyke, and Foden’s.

For the sixtieth year, the Cornwall Youth Brass Band will hold its annual Christmas Course 27 – 30 December 2015. The event features an Open Rehearsal and Audition afternoon on 28 December and concludes with a Gala Concert, 7:00 PM on 30 December 2015 at St. Michael’s Church, Newquay.
John Barber is one of the most versatile musicians working at the “sharp” end of the British brass band scene. This album demonstrates his range; from the symphonic scope of three trombone concertos to the gentle, jazzy lyricism of his own very personal piano miniatures.
This recording is dedicated to Stephen Sebire MBE who has been associated with Foden’s Band for over 25 years, currently as Vice President of the band.
