“My all is on the altar” is one of the most revered songs of consecration. Brindley Venables has written a new melody for these lyrics, which his brother, Marcus, has set in this arrangement.
The 50th Anniversary Season of the Canadian Staff Band (Bandmaster John Lam) is well underway. The first stop on the Staff Band’s Canada-wide “tour” was in Thunder Bay, Ontario, on the weekend of 13 – 14 October 2018. he event commemorated 125 years of Salvation Army service in Thunder Bay.

On the weekend of 1 – 2 April 2017, the Canadian Staff Band (Bandmaster John Lam) had the opportunity to fellowship and minister with two different yet similar congregations in Pickering, Ontario. At both St. Paul’s on-the-hill Anglican Church and the Salvation Army Hope Community Church, the Staff Band experienced a warm reception from wonderful people.
The long-running series of brass band settings of songs based on Scripture continues with arrangements by Gash, Jones, Clarke, Feltwell, Browning, Venables, Sharman, Cordner, Mackereth, Shaw and Smith.
This concert opener was written for the Canadian Staff Band’s European tour, which culminated in its attendance at the ISB120 event in London, June 2011.
The North York Temple Band (Bandmaster Glenn Barlow) recorded tracks for its new recording, entitled “Eternal Life”, at the Toronto Centre for the Arts on 9 – 11 February 2012.
On the weekend of 19 – 21 November 2010, Salvationists in Toronto and Hamilton, Ontario, were privileged to host the Rockford Temple Band from Rockford, Illinois. The band traveled to southern Ontario to take part in the Canadian Staff Band’s Fall Festival and to march in the Toronto Santa Claus Parade.
