Originally scheduled for Saturday, 19 January, the annual Proms Night at Birmingham Citadel was postponed because of snow. So it was with a hint of nervousness that the Birmingham Citadel Band (Bandmaster Gavin Lamplough) arrived at the Citadel two weeks later to see just how many would come to the rearranged concert. The “Last Night of the Proms” evening at Maidstone Corps, held on 10 March 2012, filled the hall to near capacity. The evening was led by Maidstone Band, under the direction of Bandmaster Kevin Ashman. The guest vocal soloist for the evening was Susanne Dymott. Read more

The London Central Fellowship Band (Bandmaster David Daws) brought its 2011 season to a close with a successful visit to Symphony Hall, Birmingham, playing for an audience of 1,500 gathered for the Extra Care Charitable Trust 2011 World in Union Concert. The event also included other special guests including Tom O'Connor, Rustie Lee, Gary Lovini and Kirsty Michele Anderson among other well-known artists. Read more
