On Sunday, 28 October 2018, the Kintambo Band (Bandmaster Henri Makanda Nkodia) had the privilege of being on duty at the Menkao Post in the Plateau District (the eastern part of the city of Kinshasa) for the district’s tenth anniversary Thanksgiving service.
The Melbourne Staff Band (Bandmaster Ken Waterworth) traveled to the Surf Coast on Remembrance Day to support the work of the Salvation Army in the Torquay area.
On 10 November 2018, the Sale Band was pleased to support Sale Remembers, a special commemoration of Remembrance Day and 100 years since the end of World War I. The event was held at St. Paul’s Church in Sale.
On Saturday, 29 September 2018, the Belfast Sydenham Band presented “The Last Night of the Proms” at the Belfast Sydenham Salvation Army hall. A fantastic time with a varied musical program for all.
The Ruddick Arts Centre, Edgbaston was the venue for the commencement of Birmingham Citadel Band’s 125th Anniversary celebrations on Saturday, 22 September 2018. A weekend which, as it progressed, conjured up many happy memories of the band’s consistent ministry in Birmingham and further afield over the years.
The National Capital Band (Bandmaster Dr. Steve Kellner) was privileged to support a Soldiers Rally sponsored by the National Capital Area Command. The rally was held at the Montgomery County (Maryland) Corps on Sunday, 30 September 2018. Special guests for the evening were the comedy duo Bean and Bailey.
On Saturday, 15 September 2018, the South London Fellowship Band (Bandmaster Darrell Scholes) was at William Booth College in support of the South London Division’s Celebration weekend. The day included an outdoor concert and support of the afternoon Celebration meeting.
The New York Staff Band (Bandmaster Derek Lance) began their 2018-2019 season by supporting the welcome of the cadets of the Messengers of the Kingdom Session at Centennial Memorial Temple on 7 September 2018.
The National Capital Band (Bandmaster Dr. Steve Kellner) began its 2018–2019 season in traditional fashion with a retreat held at Camp Happyland in central Virginia. As usual, the retreat served as both a musical and spiritual foundation for the season.
The New York Staff Band (Bandmaster Derek Lance) commenced its 131st season of music ministry by participating in the welcome of the cadets at the Centennial Memorial Temple in New York City.
