Expressions 2011: Creativity in Concert

The annual “Expressions” concert at Regent Hall is now in its 10th year. The brainchild of Bandmaster Steve Hanover, “Expressions: Creativity in Concert” is held on the Thursday night preceding the Championship Section of the National Brass Band Championships.

British Trumpet Firm Makes a Fanfare

English brass instrument maker Smith-Watkins of York supplied the Coronation Fanfare Trumpets which were played in Westminster Abbey at the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on 29 April 2011.

Charity Concert on Behalf of Rotary Club of Gloucester

Canadian Journey for Illinois Band

On the weekend of 19 – 21 November 2010, Salvationists in Toronto and Hamilton, Ontario, were privileged to host the Rockford Temple Band from Rockford, Illinois. The band traveled to southern Ontario to take part in the Canadian Staff Band’s Fall Festival and to march in the Toronto Santa Claus Parade.

Solent Area Fellowship Band Charity Concert

Great American Brass Band Festival 2005

The 17th annual Great American Brass Band Festival was held in Danville, Kentucky 10 – 12 June 2005. The festival, held primarily on the campus of Centre College, is hosted by the Advocate Brass Band, based in Danville.

NYSB Massachusetts Ministry Weekend

On the weekend of 16 – 18 November 2018, the New York Staff Band (Bandmaster Derek Lance) traveled to the Massachusetts Division for a ministry weekend that included stops in Worcester, Canton, Boston, and Brockton. Brass for GOSH Launched

The London Central Fellowship Band (Bandmaster David Rudd) launched their latest recording with a concert at Regent Hall on 17 November 2018. Just under 300 people were in attendance for a fantastic night of music-making, raising funds for the Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) Charity. All of the profits realized by Citadel Promotions, the producers, will benefit the hospital charity, leading to the title of the recording, Brass for GOSH. Read more
