The South London Fellowship Band (Musical Director Darrell Scholes) commenced its 23rd annual visit to Emmanuel United Reform Church, West Wickham on 17 March 2017 with My God and King, Paul Sharman’s prelude on the hymn tune “Luckington”, originally composed for the International Staff Band’s 120th anniversary celebration. This was one of several “first performances” for the Fellowship Band that evening.
The annual program at Emmanuel United Reformed Church, West Wickham, by the South London Fellowship Band (Bandmaster Darrell Scholes) is always an occasion looked forward to – by the band, members of the church and by the many friends of the band. This year’s concert was held on Friday, 13 March 2015, with guest cornet soloist Ryan Coates from Croydon Citadel and guest vocalists, the Atkinson Sisters.
The South London Fellowship Band (Bandmaster Darrell Scholes) made another visit to Emmanuel United Reformed Church in West Wickham on 14 March 2014. The band has frequently visited this church, and this time was no different as they presented a varied program of music and choral singing.
On the evening of 15 March 2013, the South London Fellowship Band (Bandmaster Major George Whittingham) made its 19th visit to Emmanuel United Reformed Church, West Wickham. The concert featured young cornet soloist Thomas Nielsen.
For the first time, the South London Fellowship Band, under the direction of Major George Whittingham, participated in a special community event when they participated in the Presentation Parade of the Metropolitan Police Volunteer Police Cadets on 14 April 2004.
